RSA Algorithm

RSA is an asymmetric cryptographic algorithm. It uses a public key for encryption and a private key for decryption.

Algorithm Steps

  1. 1Choose two prime numbers p and q.
  2. 2Calculate n = p × q.
  3. 3Calculate φ(n).
  4. 4Choose public exponent e.
  5. 5Calculate private exponent d.
  6. 6Use public key for encryption.
  7. 7Use private key for decryption.

Formula

n = p × q
φ(n) = (p - 1)(q - 1)
Encryption: C = Mᵉ mod n
Decryption: M = Cᵈ mod n

p = 61, q = 53, e = 17

Private Key: (2753, 3233)
