RSA Algorithm
RSA is an asymmetric cryptographic algorithm. It uses a public key for encryption and a private key for decryption.
Algorithm Steps
- 1Choose two prime numbers p and q.
- 2Calculate n = p × q.
- 3Calculate φ(n).
- 4Choose public exponent e.
- 5Calculate private exponent d.
- 6Use public key for encryption.
- 7Use private key for decryption.
Formula
n = p × q φ(n) = (p - 1)(q - 1) Encryption: C = Mᵉ mod n Decryption: M = Cᵈ mod n
